The Woodstock Youth Football / Cheerleading Association offer its program to boys and girls in grades 1- 8 and between the ages of 7 – 14. Our teams play in The ChicagolandYouth Football League (TCYFL).
The Football and Cheerleading programis instructional in nature. While competition is a part of the program, westrive to create a positive experience for the participants. No prior experienceis necessary to enroll and all children will receive an opportunity to play provided they attend practice sessions and follow the Code of Ethics.
FEES
All registration will be based on availability on first come first serve. Any returned checks will be subject to a $35.00 NSF fee in addition to the original amount of the check andmust be paid by Cash or Money Order. In addition the participant will not be allowed to continue until the situation is resolved.

PRACTICES
Football and Cheer practices are held at Emerson Park
GAMES
The first official league games are the Saturday before Labor Day with games ending in earlyNovember. It is the parent’s responsibility to transport your children to all away games. Maps are available at the WTYFC website www.wtyfc.com
All home games are played at EmersonPark
COACHES
The WTYFC utilizesvolunteers as coaches. The coaches may or may not be parents. Every year,potential coaches fill out applications that are reviewed on an individualbasis by the Executive Board. Once a coach is approved, a background check is completed on the coach before he or she is appointed. This check only reviews for felony convictions. Each coach is also required to complete an approved training session and be certified in First Aid, as well as any other training sanctioned by The Chicagoland Youth Football League.

TRANSPORTATION
The WTYFC does notprovide transportation to any practice or game. Coaches are instructed not toprovide transportation for any child. Please keep in mind the coaches will not leave the practice or game site until all children have been picked up.
The coaches appreciate your child being picked up on time.
PARENT PARTICIPATION
Our program’sphilosophy is to offer the highest quality equipment, uniforms, playing facilities and certified coaches. The cost of placing a Tackle football playeron the field is approximately $300, For Flag Player $75.00 and $200 for a cheerleader. For us to be able to keep registration at an affordable cost to you we must raise the difference through fundraising, concessions and merchandise.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Parents are expectedto play an active role inthe program. The strength of the WTYFC program comes from the parents. Areas you will be asked to volunteer for:
· Chain Gang: Need three people for each home game played.
· Setup of Field: We will need help in marking the field.
· Clean up: We are required to clean the field at the end of theday.
· Merchandise: Help out at the booth selling WTYFC’ merchandise
· 50/50: Sell 50/50 tickets during the first half of the game.
· Concessions: Set-up/clean up and serving of concessions
CODE OF ETHICS
No child will be allowed to participate in the WTYFC unless the organization has a Code of Ethics form signed by BOTHchild and parents.
COMPLIANT PROCEDURE
Your child’s coachneeds the full attention of your child. Please let your coach do his / her job.If at any
time you have concernsabout your child’s coach, do not discuss this during practices or games, and wait until practice has ended. The organization has put in place steps that should be taken to make sure that your complaint or problem is handled the most efficient way possible. Below is the procedure that you should follow when dealing with coaches and their staff:
1. Talk to the coach and make him/her aware of the fact that you have a problem and give the coach achance to address the problem and solve it.
2. If the coach doesnot address the complaint or you is not comfortable talking with the coach bringing the complaint to the Director of Coaching attention?
3. If you still have complaints after speaking with the coach, and the Director of Coaching, a meeting will beset up with you, the coach, the Director of Coaching, Vice President of Football, and Board members of the program.
4. The board’sdecision is final and will not be changed for any reason.
If you are notsatisfied by the board’s decision, you have the option to pull your child from the Program and you will not be entitled to receive your registration refund.
FUNDRAISERS
Each child is requiredto sell/participate in the following:

Money raised by all fundraisers is put directly back into the program for equipment, uniforms, etc…
EQUIPMENT/UNIFORM DEPOSIT FEE

Each child is required to pay a deposit fee when equipment/uniform is issued. The money will be returned once the equipment/uniform is returned in CLEAN CONDITION AND ON ASSIGNED TURN IN DATE. Turn-in dates are assigned at the end of the season. It is up to the parents to make sure the equipment/uniforms are turned in on those dates and not the Coaches. Refunds will be given when equipment is returned.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
NOTE: IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WTYFC YOUR ACCOUNT MUST BE IN GOOD FINANCIAL STANDING.
NECESSARY FORMS:
Each child must have the following forms on file in order to participate in the program:
· Completed Registration Form
· Signed Waiver – The WTYFC requires participants to assume full responsibility of the insurance of your child. Parents must sign a waiver acknowledging this.
